Looking for an online producer and social media editor who can turn around quick and clever copy? Need to increase page views while simultaneously building an engaged community of readers? Look no further. I'm eager to work as an online content producer and digital community developer for a growing media company.
Responsibilities of the job I seek:
• Write, edit, publish, and maintain branded content online
• Devise social media strategy and implement it daily
• Monitor trends, tools, metrics, and technologies to increase the effectiveness of social
media
• Develop and execute social media campaigns
• Monitor impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts of online content
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry peers, press, and blogger contacts
Why you want me:
I am well-versed on a variety of social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram,
Tumblr, Foursquare, Gowalla, etc. Over the past three months I have taken over the
responsibility of managing National Geographic Traveler magazine’s social media
pages. Under my stewardship Traveler shifted its social media strategy which included a
redesigned Facebook page and deeper engagement with the travel niche on Twitter.
These changes have led to @NatGeoTraveler gaining nearly 50,000 new Twitter
followers and 30,000 new Facebook fans in just 14 weeks. On a personal front, I worked
to build a digital following of over 1,500 on Twitter (@giopalatucci) in just 24-months
by establishing myself as an expert “voice” in the travel industry.
